By nations that seek the control and destruction of others. And by ignorance and apathy which enable those who seek to undermine the preservation of liberty for humanity.

[In 2025 - List Offenses]

(Below) An article Jim Dicus wrote for his high school newspaper about a student initially assumed a "transfer student". The discussions about the world outside of the United States would prove a revelation for Dicus - "a naive American high school boy" - and an epiphany regarding the role the United States played in it. Dicus says "it took someone born in Czechoslovakia for him to 'discover' America"

A Legacy of Liberty Revered Around the World

Yet at home their lives and legacies are becoming forgotten by a societal naivety that all nations share American values of free speech, equality, social justice, freedom

They were teenagers and twenty-somethings. They knew privilege, poverty, and prejudice. Some possessed college degrees and some 2nd grade educations. They were White, Black, brown, "In-between".

These circumstances may have shaped the lives they sacrificed for their country; Character would define their legacies when called upon As AMERICANS.

They answered on the beach at Omaha; Airborne over Normandy, Flight Crew at Midway. Taken prisoner at the Battle of the Bulge; Killed on Guadalcanal; Fought and died on the sands of Iwo Jima. Death-marched at Bataan, and died in hand-to-hand, house-to-house combat liberating Jebsheim; Their planes would go down in flames over the South pacific with no trace ever found. They were called "unstoppable" as they liberated Europe from Oppression, They would refuse their furloughs to stay with their battalion and be Killed in Action; For humanity they would die on land, in the air, and at sea . They would be buried in cemeteries across Europe and Asia, and many would go missing in action - their graves known only to God
